1961 Olympic Sunburst Item Description
This is a vintage 1961 Epiphone Olympic in Sunburst. Offered up originally as Epiphones introductory electric guitar just as Gibson had the Melody Maker – the short-scale Olympic has evolved into attainable vintage collectible that still offers up excellent tone a fun vibe. This guitar is in overall good to very good condition with wear around the body including lacquer checking and dings. The guitar has a shorter than usual 22-3/4″ scale length with 19 frets, a single-coil pickup controlled by volume and tone controls and a simple yet effective wraparound bridge. The guitar has original frets and electronics on it, and you can see that there’s a modern set of Schaller tuners installed. The original chipboard case and a modern padded gigbag are included.
