D55e Acoustic-Electric Antique Burst 2013 Item Description
Here we have a New Hartford, Connecticut built Guild D-55e in Antique Burst in overall excellent condition. Famously played by Tommy Smothers on the classic Smothers Brothers Show in the late ’60s, the D-55 has been a Guild mainstay ever since. Specs include a sitka spruce top with solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, an ebony fretboard, scalloped Adirondack spruce X-bracing and a dovetail neck joint. Signature D-55 cosmetics are onboard including the V-Block fretboard inlays and railroad track purfling on the sides of the fretboard. The guitar is built with a Fishman pickup system installed, and the original case included.
